Introduction
I capture conflicts situated at the intersection of social, cultural, and political relationships, along with the clashes that arise from these conflicts, collecting the byproducts that emerge from them. By using the grammar of street art, specifically graffiti, I extend this work into various forms including painting, sculpture, and video, revealing discourses that were previously invisible to the 'Other'—those not directly involved in the conflict. While in the past I enjoyed this act as a 'cultural act' in itself, I now use it as a device to bring various themes to the surface. Additionally, having been a participant observer of these 'cultural clashes' for a long time and experiencing their ebbs and flows, I have naturally developed an interest in the keywords 'conflict' and the 'byproducts' derived from it.
