Introduction
Shapes of Memory and Emotion
On a breezy afternoon, it's time to bring the potted plants outside into the studio. There is always one potted plant that makes me smile every day. I wonder what conversations the sunlight and I had with the new leaves that greeted me while I was holding my brush. The potted plants and fresh flowers in my studio awaken my senses. As I gaze at the portrait of my grandfather hanging on the studio wall, I press the start button of the longing emotions. The residue and concentration of ink on the brush always feel new and make me tense. The rough brushstrokes and softly spreading touches express the shape of the world as I see it.

Longing always occupies a space in my life. I miss and miss again.
The beginning of this emotion dates back to my childhood when I sold sesame leaves in the market with my grandfather and entertained the elderly villagers. That's why adults, especially the elderly, captivate my gaze more than children. When expressing the emotion of love, the affectionate gestures of elderly couples struck me as the most passionate love, so I have been exploring ways to cherish and digest the problem of longing by drawing retrospective paintings over the past period.

These days, I travel through life in conversations with new people. New relationships enable light but deep conversations, allowing me to experience new emotions. New relationships allow me to understand and feel life in various and broad ways. Therefore, paintings are drawn in various shapes.
